Funeral services for Neoma Lanier Burnitt, 89, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, in Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. The Revs. George L. Glass Jr. and George Lee Glass will officiate. Visitation is 2-10 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Burnitt passed away at 10:04 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2004, in Beauregard Memorial Hospital of DeRidder. She was born in Beauregard Parish and had lived all of her life in the area. She was a homemaker and a member of Welcome Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Burnitt; and daughter, Mary Frances Burnitt. Survivors include one daughter, Ann Harper of Shiloh; three grandchildren, Harlan Henry Harper of Coushatta, and Donald Ray Harper Jr. and Monna Harper Myers, both of DeRidder; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eunice Harper of Shiloh.
