WINDSOR -- Robert Miles Storm, 80, of rural Windsor died at his farm at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday September 19, 2006. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Cochran's Grove Cemetery near Windsor with Rev. Jim Dona officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Windsor American Legion Garrett Baldridge Post. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor. Memorials may be made to the Ash Grove Christian Church, Windsor or the Windsor American Legion to establish a permanent site for the community museum of local memorabilia. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to: Robert M. Storm Memorial Fund, RR #2 Box 50, Windsor, Ill. 61957. He was born October 28, 1925 in Shelby County, Ill. the son of Lonnie and Zella Webner Storm. He married Dorothy Elaine Camfield September 12, 1948 in Windsor. Elaine was laid to rest July 1, 2006. He leaves behind daughters, Alice (Terry) O'Connor of Jacksonville, Fla. and Debra (David) Brunty of Madison, Wis.; son, Jeffrey (Pam) Storm of rural Windsor; three grandsons; sister, Annabelle (Storm) Griffin of Windsor; one niece and two nephews. His parents, wife and sister, Glayfa (Storm) Reynolds preceded him in death. He was a dedicated member of the Ash Grove Christian Church where he served as and elder, deacon and church treasurer. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and again in the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of the Windsor American Legion Garrett Baldrige Post, member of the Operating Engineer Local and a lifelong farmer and conservationist.
