I think that Sarah Wallis' mother was Charity Wallis - I also think that she may have been a single mother. It appears by the 1850 - 1880 Census reports that Charity lived with her daughter and Tilghman from the time they were married until Charity died after 1880. The 1880 Census states that Charity is the mother-in-law and is single. Charity's parents could have been Josiah and Sarah Wallis (Wallace). Any info on them would be greatly appreciated.
