She is survived by her children, brothers and sisters, and 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her special friend Alta. She was preceded in death by a brother, Loren Simms, and her husband Lawrence.
Marian was a member of the First Baptist Church for 30 years. She loved singing with the Golden Age Choir at the Church. She also belonged to Janis Sewing Circle.
Services were held in the First Baptist Church on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
Graveside services followed at the West Side District Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Taft Funeral Home.
