Dick married Susan Jane Call on December 31, 1854 in Crooked Creek, Carroll County, Arkansas. Dick was a Civil War Veteran. They had 10 children:

1) George Washington was born on March 31, 1856. He married Leona Tharpe. His 2nd wife was Mandy Nowland.
2) Julia Ann was born on September 21, 1858. She married L.D. Gullick. They divorced. She died in Ponotoc County, Oklahoma.
3) James Alfred was born on August 17, 1859. He married Maggie Olda.
4) Sarah Sophia was born on February 17, 1860. She married William Thomas Stacy.
5) John Robert was born on December 16, 1862.
6) Henry Uriah was born on May 30, 1868. He married Mary Presley.
7) Thomas Marshall was born on April 18, 1870. He married Fannie Ryan.
8) Francis Isabella was born on May 17, 1872. She married Robert Alex Brown.
9) Martha Jane was born on March 21, 1874.
10) Cora Arizonia was born on January 22, 1876. She married Adam Wesley Graves.

Dick's parents were Henry and Ann Wilson Hughey.
Alfred and Susan Hughey were my great great grandparents.

Alfred Wilson "Dick" Hughey
One Of The Oldest Citizens of Boone County died Feb 1, 1917 in his home one mile east of Alpena.
He was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee on August 3, 1834 and moved to Arkansas in the spring of 1836, where he has lived ever since and was living on the place he settled in the year 1860.
He professed Faith in Christ September 1854, in the M.E. Church and has ever since lived in consistent Christian Life.
He was married to Susan Jane Call December 31, 1854 and to this union 13 children were born. 5 Girls and 8 boys were born of which 9 are still living.
He is Survived by his wife, 9 children and 40 grandchildren.
In 1862 he joined the Union Army and served 3 years for the cause he thought was right.
