On August 25, 1853 as Rebecca Hance, she married Alexander Hamlin or Hamilton Jones in the District of Columbia.
They had one child who lived to adulthood named Ella H. Jones (1856-1915), who married John William Ridgway (1855-1925) on September 7, 1875 in the District of Columbia.
Ella and her family moved to Washington State between 1900 and 1910.

The funeral of Mrs. Rebecca Jones was held this morning at 10 o'clock from the chapel in Oak Hill Cemetery, at which place the interment was made. The deceased was about fifty-two years of age and the widow of the late Alexander Hamilton Jones. Rev. Mr. Thompson of St. Paul's Episcopal Church officiated at the services.
