CUSTER – Clara J., “CJ,” 64, Richland Township, died Feb. 11, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 2, 1942, in Johnstown, daughter of Altis Livingston and Edith (Halliwell) Harbaugh. Preceded in death by her parents. Survived by her husband, Ron; daughters, Cindy, wife of Kai Hoffman, Johnstown, and Kimberly, wife of Kevin Beers, Allentown; grandchildren, Kurt Hoffman, Rex Hoffman, Emily Claire Beers and Andrew Beers; brother, Michael Harbaugh, Richland; and sisters, Nita Berger, Salix; Delores, wife of Robert Berkebile, Leesburg, Fla.; Margaret “Peg” Makin, Aurora, Colo.; and Bernyce, wife of Michael Badowski, Mechanicsburg. Member of Belmont United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Visitation Committee and Church Greeters. CJ was a regular blood donor with the American Red Cross. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at The Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. An additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Belmont United Methodist Church, the Rev. Merritt Edner, pastor. Private interment will take place at Richland Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to the Belmont United Methodist Church, 107 Coldren St., Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
