her loving husband Cecil Akers Jr.,
five sisters and seven brothers.
She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Huntington Dress Factory. She and Cecil were devoted members of Big Branch United Methodist Church. Ethel or 'Maw Maw'as she was affectionately known by her family was a quiet, gentle, loving person and a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by
two daughters and sons-in-law Judy and Joe Thibodeaux of Pensacola, Fla, and Janie and Ron Keeney of Chesapeake;
three grandchildren Jason (Shawna) Keeney of Newark, Ohio, Angie (Steven) Reynolds of Chesapeake, and Brent (Anna) Keeney of Pensacola;
six great-grandchildren, Breanna and Chance Keeney of Pensacola, Sydney and Samuel Keeney of Newark, and Olivia and Riley Reynolds of Chesapeake;
one sister Grace Canterbury of Chesapeake;
a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was conducted at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Leo Edwards. Burial was in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio.
