Funeral services for Doris F. Jackson, 88, of Jeffersonville, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Coots Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was a retired nurse's aide having worked at Clark Memorial Hospital and was a member of Bethany Christian Church.
Survivors include her sons, Walter "Sonny" Jackson Jr., of Jeffersonville, Ronnie Jackson, of Charlestown, and Jimmy Jackson, of Clarksville; brother, Donald Tidd, of Indianapolis; sisters, Edith Underwood, and Norma Redmon, both of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jackson Sr. and her parents Vernon and Bessie Alt Tidd.
