with Class of 1967.John enlisted in the
Marines March 1967,before graduating from
high School.
Upon arriving in Vietnam 26 November 1968,
John was assigned to Delta Company,1st
Battalion,4th Marine Regiment,3rd Marine
Division.
John became ill 19 June 1969 and was taken
to 3rd Medical Battalion for medical treatment.
After a few days he was transferred to the USS
Sanctuary ,where he died 24 June 1969,at
2209H.The cause of death was due to acute
hepatitis.
John was single and served his country for 1
year,8 months and 2 days and was KIA#
43,444.
He had been in Vietnam for 6 months and 29 days.
John was 20 years,7 months and 6 days old.
