Dorothy Claire O'Quinn, daughter of William Mitchell O'Quinn and Lillian Goethe O'Quinn, departed this life for Heavenly rest on the evening of October 16, 2011, in North Charleston.
Claire was born in Walterboro October 2, 1947. She was a former client of the Colleton County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs and was currently a resident of the Coastal Center SCDDSN Residential Facility in Ladson.
She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Walterboro and was loved by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents she is survived by four sisters: Marlene O. Goodwin and husband George Mackey of Columbia, Amy O. Drew and husband Jesse of Hendersonville, Michele O. James and husband Randy of Ridgeland, and Celeste O. McCollum and husband Bryan of Walterboro. There are four nephews, two nieces, three great-nephews, and one great niece.
Funeral services will be held October 19, 2011, at 2:00 in the First Baptist Church of Walterboro with burial following in the Live Oak Cemetery.
