Hugo R. Kabbel, 85, of apt. G-3 Quincy Village, Quincy, and formerly of 43 Dymond Ave., died at 6:20 p.m. Monday, March 28, 1988, in Quincy United Methodist Home. born August 18, 1902, in Wilmerding, he was the son of the late Carl and Frieda Harmisch Kabbel. he was a carpenter all his life. Freda Flack Kabbel, his first wife, ( actually second wife ) died September 14, 1975. His second wife, (actually his third wife) Hazel E. Andrews Flack Kabbel, died August 13, 1987. Surviving are a son, Richard of 45 Fifth Street, Creskill, N.J., a step-son, Earl A. Flack of Halland, Ohio; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; a brother, Otto of New Milford, N.J.; and three sisters, Emma Wagner and Bertha Aque, both of Florida and Minnie Munz of Cloister, N.J..

The obituary incorrectly listed his wives: He was pre-deceased by his first wife Hazel Velma Sammis Kabbel in 1961 and also his son Robert Kabbel in 1971. He was survived by a second son Richard Kabbel of Creskill, NJ and nine grandchildren. ( added by Carol Kabbel 9/16/2020)
