Another Cord Severed
By the death of Rhoda Burson, aged 31 years, 24 days, another home is sorrowing, another chord severed. She had been in delicate health for something over a year, but two weeks ago was taken worse, and her sufferings, in that time, were beyond expression. Though everything that could be was administered to her, yet she found no relief till death bade her leave this world of suffering and flee to realms of heavenly bliss. All her afflictions were borne with such fortitude and patience, as none but Christians possess. Only a few weeks past she had expressed her willingness to die, and was prepared to meet the change. Of her it may be said, she was a dutiful and affectionate daughter, a loving and devoted sister, a mother's pride, a sister's joy, and a brother's hope. She was loved by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her loss, an aged mother, brothers, sisters, and a large circle of friends.
