The headstone was recorded in the 1950s by Mrs. H. Flood Madison for the DAR's "Louisiana Tombstone Inscriptions" series, Vol. 6, Page 148. It was also recorded in a July 1991 survey of the cemetery with the below inscription.
According to Dr. E. Russ Williams' book "Founding Families of the Ouachita Valley" Elizabeth Ann Bartlett married Augustus Dunreth Russell in Ouachita Parish January 22, 1855. They were the parents of Henry Hamilton Russell. She was the daughter of Henry Claiborne and Nancy Ann McLaughlin Bartlett and was the sister of Nancy D. Bartlett Selman, also buried in Bartholomew.
