Gwen Lyon Vance, 59, of American Fork passed away September 12, 2007 in the American Fork Hospital. She was born Jan 31, 1948 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Allen William and Wrena Carver Lyon. Gwen married Oran Spencer Vance on Jan 10, 1969 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She was active in her LDS Ward, civic affairs and in City, County and State programs. She was talented with crochet and cross stitch needle work.
Survived by her husband, 2 sons and 2 daughters, Jason Spencer (Faith) Vance of Boise, Idaho; Candace Vance and Angelene Vance both of Provo; Jaren Spencer Vance of American Fork; 3 grandchildren; brother Karl Ross (DeAnn) Lyon of Golden Valley, AZ; sisters, Peggy (Sherman)Wright of Grace, ID; Janet (Larry) Walters of Cascade, ID; parents, Allen William and Ardell Lyon of Preston, ID.
Preceded in death by her mother Wrena Lyon and sisters Renee Lyon and Merry Jane Lyon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, Sep 15, 2007 in the American Fork 15th Ward, 455 E 300 N. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N, American Fork, Utah and at the church 1 hour prior to the services. Interment, American Fork Cemetery.
