She died today (March 20, 1992) at Guadalupe Medical Center.
Clara Valenzuela Acosta was born Oct. 12, 1901, in Ojinaga, Mexico. She moved to the United States in 1910.
On Jan. 11, 1923, she and the late Jose Acosta were married in Pecos, Texas.
She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, the Alter Society, Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Senior Cizitens from Loving.
Survivors include two sons, Abelardo of Acosta of Modesto, Calif., and George Acosta of Carlsbad; five daughters, Anita Jaquez, Azucena Rostro and Dora Madrid, all of Carlsbad, and Aurora Carrasco and Frances Carrasco, both of Loving; one brother, Julian Mendez of Carlsbad; two sisters, Leandra Vela and Frances Dallas, both of Carlsbad; 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Rosary for Clara V. Acosta, 90, Loving who died Friday (March 20, 1992), will be recited today at 7 p.m. in San Jose Catholic Church.
Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at the church. The Rev. Dominic Manion will officiate. Burial will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by West Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Lonnie Jacquez, Mario Carrasco, Alan Rostro, Ben Madrid Jr., Yvonne S. Acosta and Eddie Acosta.
