He is survived by his wife, the former Billie McComas, whom he married in 1977, children Donald Brittain Jr., Veronica Brittain, Karen Whitly, Carlton Winebrenner, Janette Baringer, Phillip Brittain, and Pamela Danlag, as well as 11 grandchildren.
Also surviving is a sister Darla Brittain., brothers Harry Brittain and Robert Brittain are deceased.
