Mrs. Leslie Beasley and Miss Lula Weekly, two most estimable young people residing in the western portion of the county, were married last Tuesday night. They have a host of friends that wish them a happy and prosperous journey through life. The Inquirer congratulates you.

Services for Mrs. Lula Beasley were held in the Junction Methodist Church conducted by Dean H.E. Speck, of the Southwest Teachers College of San Marcos, assisted by Rev. Thomas J. Bradley, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, and Rev. Ennis B. Hill, pastor of the Methodist Church. She grew to womanhood in Gonzales County and was married to Leslie Beasley, Sr., on 2 August 1887. To this union were born seven sons and five daughters. One son, Kennon preceded him in death. Surviving children are - Ross Beasley, Leslie Beasley, Pat Beasley, Roland Beasley, Fred Beasley, Jake Beasley, Mrs. Lula Williams, Mrs. Mary Hamilton, Mrs. Susie Dixon, Mrs. Edith Buckner, MRs. Ruth Blackburn; nine grandchildren. Early in life, she united with the Methodist Church and throughout her life was a consistent Christian.
