COLUMBIA — Funeral services were to be at 3 p.m. today at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for Mrs. Carrie Ford, 86, of Columbia with the Rev. La Velle Crain officiating.
Burial was to be in the church cemetery under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia.
Mrs. Ford died early today at Columbia Heights Funeral Home after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Fisher, of Columbia; one son, W. T. Ford Sr. of West Monroe; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the services.
