Raymond C. Miller, the son of Theodore and Nettie (Hughes) Miller was born on 21 August 1900. The family lived in the Round Grove Township in Macon County, Missouri on a farm 1/2 mile West of Anabel and 3/4 mile North off Hwy 36. He graduated from Clarence High School in May 1918 and then attended Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri from 1918 to 1920 where he obtained an Associate in Business degree. He enlisted in the US Army on 12 Nov 1918 and was discharged on 14 Dec 1920 while attending Westminster College. On 30 Apr 1920 he enlisted in the US Navy on a delayed entry program and after graduating college transferred to San Diego, CA where he was honorably discharged as a Yeoman 3rd class Petty Office on 29 Apr 1922.

Following his discharge he was employed by the Nabisco Biscuit Company in Kansas City, Missouri. Raymond was united in marriage to Goldie Ann Gipson on 22 Dec 1923 in Clarence, Missouri. The couple lived in Kansas City, Missouri and their daughter, Francis Geraldine was born on 11 Dec 1924. They then lived in Joplin, Mo and in 1928, Raymond was promoted to a branch manager and relocated to Tulsa, OK. In 1934, the depression caused the family to move back to Macon, Missouri where they lived with family members for a number of years.

On March 7, 1938, Raymond was appointed the mail carrier for Route 2, Macon County with the US Postal Service and worked as a postal worker until his death. Around 1939, Raymond bought a lot at 1022 N. Rubey Street and moved a house that had burned the second story to this lot, which he remodeled himself and the family lived there throughout their lives. Raymond died on 31 Dec 1958 of an Acute Myocardial Infraction. He was buried on 2 Jan 1959 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Macon County, Missouri near his birthplace.
