Funeral Mass for Mary F. Arendt, 84, of Gainesville, is set for 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at St Peters Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymond McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in the St Peters Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm, with visitation to follow, Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the St Peters Catholic Church.

Mary was born on August 19, 1927 in Windthorst to Adam Andrew and Mary Catherine Schroeder Wolf. She passed away October 9, 2011 in Gainesville. Mary graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1945. She married Paul A. Arendt on April 12, 1948 in Gainesville. Mary loved the Texas Rangers, playing dominoes, and was a great cook. She was a life member of the St. Anne's Society and enjoyed her later years playing games and visiting with her special friends at the Renaissance Care Center.

Mary is survived by her son Adam P. Arendt and fiance' Tara Bayer of Lindsay; daughter Janet M. Cunningham of Lindsay; daughter and son in law Pat D. and Steve Zimmerer of Lindsay; daughter and son in law Gina K. and Chris Craigie of Lindsay; grandsons Tony Cunningham and his wife Amanda, Michael Cunningham and his wife Suzanne, Ryan W. Zimmerer, Brandon B. Craigie, Braxton P. Craigie, and Bryson J. Craigie; granddaughters Dalana Barbee and her husband Brandon, KyLeigh D. Zimmerer, Hannah Rose Bayer, and Brianna F. Craigie; great grandsons Samuel Cunningham, Tanner Cunningham, Kyle Cunningham, and Brady Cunningham; great granddaughter Kelli Cunningham. She is also survived by her brother and sister in law Adam T. and Alma Wolf of Muenster; brother and sister in law Walter B. and Georgia Wolf of Gainesville; Brother and sister in law John and Fran Wolf of Wimberley; sister and brother in law Joanne and Walter Hermes of Gainesville; sister in law Betty J. Wolf of Gainesville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul A. Arendt Jr. in 2001; son Anton William Arendt in 1963; son in law Earl R. Cunningham in 2009; brothers Ed Wolf and Lee Wolf; and a sister in law Eunice Wolf.

Pallbearers will be Tony Cunningham, Michael Cunningham, Ryan W. Zimmerer, Darrell Wolf, Danny Wolf, and Dennis Hermes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Craigie, Braxton Craigie, Bryson Craigie, and Tim Wolf.
