Edward Adydan, 67, of Syracuse , died Tuesday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
A life resident of Syracuse , Mr. Adydan was employed as a machinist by Colt Specialty Metals Division of Crucible Steel, retiring in 1982 after 38 years of service. He was a member of United Steel Workers Union Local 1277.
Mr. Adydan was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. He was a member of the Adelphi Club.
Mr. Adydan was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He served with the night fighters, prop specialists, and served in the Pacific.
Surviving are his wife, the former Wanda Mahyna; a son, David; a sister, Genevieve Smith; two brothers, Chester and John; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews, all of Syracuse .
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Giminski-Wysocki Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 1320 W. Genesee St.
