Henry Emdee died late yesterday afternoon at St Elizabeth hospital. He had been in the institution for four weeks and his death was caused by dropsy. Mr Emdee was born in Lafayette in 1838 and his entire life was spent here. He resided for a long time at 24 South Eighth street. He was for a number of years employed at the Jenks box factory and was well and favorably known in the city. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon from the Bradshaw and Schlesselman undertkng parlors. Rev O.R.Mckay will officaite and the interment will be in Greenbush cemetery.
