Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2008, at the Cedar Valley United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thrusday, April 24, 2008, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established.
Mr. Stark was born in Stockton, Iowa on Jan. 8, 1929, the son of Raymond and Valara Paustia Stark. He graduated from Atalissa High School in 1948.
Orlen went on to serve in the Army during the Korean Conflict where he earned the Purple Heart.
He was united in marriage to Rachel W. Viegut on Aug. 13, 1966, in Muscatine. They farmed near Atalissa for 12 years before moving to West Liberty. He was employed by Louis Rich Foods until his retirement.
He was a member of the Cedar Valley United Methodist Church. He and Rachel enjoyed attending dances at the Col Ballroom in Davenport, as well as playing cards and bingo.
He is survived by a son: Orlen Stark Jr. and wife, Angie, of West Liberty; a daughter, Charlene Roszell and husband, Brian, of West Liberty; four grandsons: Brandon, Raymond, Jeremy and Joshua.; and a brother, Arlo Dean Stark and wife, Marilyn, of Eldridge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel in 2001.
