Christena LaVerne Bagley Sorensen"Together Again"Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother returned to her Heavenly home Oct 8, 2011 peacefully with her family by her side. She was born Jan 12, 1925 in Koosharem, Utah to Orson and Myrtle Clark Bagley. She married her sweetheart Chad Sorensen in the Manti Temple on May 24, 1943. He preceded her in death Nov 13, 1995.LaVerne was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served as a Relief Society President, primary counselor and several other callings in the church up to the age of 77. She also loved to travel with her husband and friends to Arizona for the winter. She was an avid rock hunter, and loved to work in her yard.LaVerne was a loving example to her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed. LaVerne is survived by her six children: Chad Brent (Merla) Sorensen, Kearns; Annette (Robert) Berthelson, Alamogordo, NM; Kristine Renae (David) Martin, Orem; Ronald James (Jeanne) Sorensen, Spanish Fork; Sherry Lynn (Michael) Juggert, Huntington; Kerry Bryce (Kristen) Sorensen, Magna, 25 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Evelyn Bagley, 2 brothers-in-law LaGrand and Harold Sorensen. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings and 2 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct 13, 2011 at 11 am in the Sharon Park 7th Ward Chapel, 85 E. 700 N. in Orem. Friends and family may attend a viewing Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State in Orem and also Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to services at the ward chapel. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
