Vera Ann Baker, 84, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Monday, November 24, 2008.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred A. and Mary C. Clodfelter; brother, F.A. Clodfelter Jr.; and lifelong friend, Phyllis Sink.
Mrs. Baker graduated from Jefferson High School, attended Roanoke College and graduated from National Business College. Upon graduation she was proud to have worked with her father Fred at C&P Telephone where he was a longtime employee. She was a loving mother who was active in her children's school and sports endeavors. Ann also had a place in her heart for all animals.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Warren Baker; sons, Cliff Baker and wife, Elizabeth, and Kevin Baker and wife, Lynn. Also surviving are special in-laws; nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. R. Paul Henrickson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park.
