Bill Altizer was born April 4, 1927, at Calumet to Eugene and Lucy Altizer.
He married Berchie French Jones on March 3, 1972, in Oklahoma City.
He attended Big Four School before going into the service on July 19,
1945 and was honorably discharged on July 10, 1947, after serving with the
60th Infantry overseas in Kornwestheil, Germany. He received the WWII
Victory Medal.
He farmed for 47 years in the Big Four area.
Survivors include his wife, Berchie of the home; three sons, Louis Jones
and wife Pam of Kingfisher, Harold Jones of Oklahoma City, and Jerry Jones
and wife Nikki of Mounds, Okla.; one daughter, Neva Todd and husband Mark of
Kingfisher; nine grandchildren, Jared, Crystal, Kala, James, Holden, Ben,
Ceara, Drake and Denise; two sisters-in-law, Neva Smith of Copan, Okla. and
Irene Altizer of Oklahoma City; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
