APPLEGATE
Helen L. Applegate, 80, of Hudson House, died Friday at Mercy Hospital.
A Boyd County, Ky., native, she was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Applegate, in 1974.
Survivors include a son, Earl Applegate of Chillicothe; two daughters, Helen Traylor and Gertrude Carrington, both of McDermott; a brother, Carl Cornwell of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is planned at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Windel-Howland & Brant Funeral Home with the Rev. William Cramer officiating, and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
