Wyman "Bud" Dean McCarty, 74, of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota and formerly of Red Wing, died January 17, 2011 in Mesa, Arizona. He graduated in 1954 from Red Wing Central High School. He married Lois Deden on September 2, 1955. He served in the US Air Force and then attended the University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin, River Falls. They lived in New Ulm for many years where he was Ground and Maintenance Superintendent for the New Ulm Schools.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; two daughters, Maureen (Donald) Haines and Janell McCarty; six grandchildren; one great grandchild and one sister Betty (Gordon) Falkofske.

A visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing. Burial will follow in the Diamond Bluff Cemetery.
