Memories of Grandma Caudry;
She Loved the Lord and read her Bible every day. I can remember one time when we lived in Chicago and a neighbor asked her why she had not re-married? She was horrified to even think of that. In her book it was just grandpa and no one else. When we lived in Broadview her sight was falling and she was asked not to feed our Dog while we were eating. Well, she thought no one could see her and she would sneak little bites to Lady Bug, our Lab. The dog really loved her.When we lived in Gillispie in the house Don and Billie Westwood live in. She use to make Donuts. Man you could sink a ship with those puppies. I mean if you didn't have Milk with them you needed new teeth. But she tried. She loved to play the piano. She never had a lesson and she was good. Sometimes dad would get the violin and they had a good time playing hymns. She loved it when her kids came to see her. We lived in a basement apartment and it rained we moped for hours Aunt Myrtle's family and Uncle Dwiight with Aunt Mildred. Just 2 rooms we had people sleeping every where.. We had a little terrier Dog "Puddles" was his name guees why! Grandma had a talent for remembering Birthdays. She knew all of her childrens, grandchildrens and all the kids in the neighborhood. She loved to go back to Gillespie when I had Spring Break or for a summer vist. I know her heart was always there.
