Nellie (Moore) Smitley, 81, of Dunbar, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born May 28, 1928, in Dunbar. She was a wicker for Keystone Fireworks.
Surviving are her children, David Smitley Jr., of Washington, D.C., Robert Smitley and wife, Brenda, of Ohio, and Barbara Spriggs and husband, Larry, of North Carolina; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Ray and Mary Ellen Moore; her husband, David M. Smitley; a son, Benjamin Smitley, who died Dec. 10, 2009; and a brother and sisters.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with Pastor Lee Maley officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar.
