Charles R. (Popeye) Booth, 48, Guernsey, died apparently of a heart attack, Sunday morning in Canton, where he had been visiting at the home of his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Reasoner.

Mr. Booth had been working in the Canton are and had arrived at the Reasoner home, Friday. He was found dead in bed Sunday morning.

Born June 6, 1914 in Guernsey County, he was a son of Frank and the Mary Kennedy Booth.

Surviving are his father, Frank Booth; a daughter, Miss Alice Booth, Coshocton; a son Ronald, Kimbolton; five brothers, Richard of Massillon, Chester of Guernsey, Marvin of Kimbolton, Frank, Jr. and Robert, both of Cambridge; five sisters, Mrs. Reasoner, Mrs. Katherine Bryant of Coshocton, Mrs. Marjorie Vetter of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Betty Fairchild of Winterset, amd Mrs. Nancy Clark, Zanesville.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bonnell-Addy funeral home, Newcomerstown, by Rev. Walter Wilson. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday.
