Ms. Virginia Christine Jenkins 80, of Warsaw, died Saturday, January 26, 2002. She was a retired health care worker and a member of Rappahannock Baptist Church.

Surviving are a brother, Lyell Jenkins of Warsaw; a sister, Rita Carroll of Pittsfield, Illinois; a devoted nephew and his wife, Clifton and Bonnie Jenkins of Warsaw and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Jenkins was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Jenkins and Mable Jenkins and two nephews, Wayne Jenkins and John Shackelford.

Funeral services were held January 30 at Rappahannock Baptist Church, Newland with Pastor Wade Wilkins officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were W.A. Scates, Richard Hancock, Gary Jenkins, J.C. Abercrombie, George Abercrombie, Terry Abercrombie and Chastine Rouse. Memorials may be made to Richmond County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 55, Warsaw, Va. 22572.
