Mr. Templin retired as a tool and die maker at Chevrolet-Muncie in 1956. He was active in several church organizations.
Surviving are three daughters, Florence Arnold, Rockford, Ohio, Joan Miller, Yorktown, and Sue Templin, Albany; three sons, Robert L. Templin, Columbia, S.C., Ronald R. Templin, Fort Myers, Fla., and James E. Templin, Fairmount; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Leora Shumaker, Daleville.
His wife, Sarah Louise Templin, died in 1978.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Meeks Mortuary, with Rev. Max James and Rev. Ralph Gray officiating. Entombment will be in Gardens of Memory. Calling hours at the mortuary are 3-6 p.m. Sunday.
