Mrs. Ethel Stanford, 78, formerly of Wardell, died Feb. 12 in Batesville, Miss. Born Aug. 21, 1908 in Hamilton, Ala., she was the daughter of William H. and Nancy Carter Lewis.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Stanford of Clarkton; One son, Wilburn Stanford of Portageville; One daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Means of Batesville, Miss.; Four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were Feb. 14 at Wardell Chruch of Christ, John R. Owens officiating, with burial in Dunklin County Memorial Gardens, Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home of Wardell in charge.
Pallbearers were Mike and Jimmy Bruner, Bill and Billy Woodal, Mike Windham and Jerry Tarkington.
