Mrs. Sarah Essex Dies
At Home On Pine Street
Mrs. Sarah E. Essex, age 74, died early Sunday morning at her home, 229 Pine Street, following a long illness of complications. She was the widow of the late O.L. Essex.
Mrs. Essex was born near Nelsonville and lived there until the death of her husband in 1919. She had since made her home in this city.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Claude Fowler of the home, and Mrs. Frances Bonnell of Woodlawn Avenue; three sons, Weaver of Nelsonville, and Lafe and Calvin, both of the home; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Roush of Florida; a brother, Henry White of Nelsonville; a grandchild, Orren Mace, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Dean Chapel, with Rev. Homer McDaniel officiating. Burial will be made in Greenwood Cemetery.
The body now rests at the Dean Funeral Home.
