He was married to the former Mary M. Garvoille on Oct. 4, 1937 at St. Mary's of Lourdes Catholic Church in Belleville. She died Feb. 13, 1999. They were in separable during their 62 years together.
Carl is survived by his children, Carol Ann Hahn of Sun Prairie, Michael (Bonnie) Moschkau of Fitchburg, Marjorie Caley of Madison, Carl (Lisa) Moschkau of St. Joseph, Minn. Mary (James) Hofmeister of Lincoln, Neb. , and Joseph (Sharon) Moschkau of Mount Horeb: 18 grandchildren; his brother, Art (Esther) Moschkau of Turtle Lake, and four sisters, Bertha Anders of Amery, Augusta Whitney of the state of Washington, Emma (Mike) Groom of Phoenix, Ariz. and Rose (Harold) Strasser of Clayton. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years; his son, Alois; four brothers, David, John, Emil and Edward and a sister, Marie.
A mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Mount Horeb. Burial was at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Exeter Township, Wis.
Carl was a long time Madison area builder with over 100 homes to his credit including the 1959 Parade of Homes. He was nicest man you'd ever want to meet and will be missed.
