The body of Mr. Green Cobb was found on the public road near Mercer early Tuesday morning, death having taken place some hours before, as the body was cold and stiff. Cobb was returning from Central City, where it is said he had been on a spree, and was drunk when he started home. He was a well known character, and was generally liked, but had the unfortunate drink habit. He was a blacksmith by trade, and was a fine mechanic, but rarely held a job long at a time, being of a roving nature.
