Jeannette "Charlie" Ren Atwater age 34, of Billings, MT., formerly of Bellingham, WA., died Sunday Jan. 16, 2000 in Billings as the result of a homicide.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bellingham, Saturday Feb. 5th at 7 p.m., in the Adult Education Room.

All friends and family are invited to attend.

Funeral and Burial services were held in Forsyth, MT., on Jan. 25th.

Charlie was born Jan. 12, 1966 in Miles City, MT., the daughter of Jim and Dona Lebie Atwater.

She attended schools in Miles City and graduated from Dawson County High School in Glendive, MT.

Charlie move to the Bellingham area in 1985 and resided there until 1996 before moving to Billings.

Charlie is survived by her three children, Aarren, Kailynn and Zachary Aiken who now reside with their father, Robert Aiken of Ferndale, WA. her father Jim Atwater (Sheila) of Ferndale, WA., sister Cheryle Atwater of Seattle, WA., mother Dona Parks of Harlowton, MT., sister Tawni Parks of Billings, MT., Grandmother Ruth Atwater of Emily, MN., and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends in Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, Wyoming, and Washington.

Charlie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Alice Lebie in 1995 and grandfather, Kelly Atwater in 1972.

Charlie enjoyed sports of all kinds and especially loved playing softball.

She enjoyed spending time at the beach, being with friends, and most of all spending time with her family.

On Nov. 29, 1999, Charlie donated a kidney to her Uncle Buck Lebie of Las Vegas, NV., at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, WA.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the children's Education Fund in care of Horizon Bank in Ferndale, WA.
