Funeral services for Frank Mason, 45, of 607 West Lawndale avenue, traffic manager For Altorfer Bros. Co., who died at Methodist hospital at 9:40 a. m. Thursday after an extended illness, will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday at First Methodist church.
The Rev. Robert H. Bodine will officiate and burial will be at Parkview cemetery. Friends may call at Gauss mortuary from 4 to 9 p. m. today.
A Peoria resident for 26 years Mr. Mason was born at Metamora, Aug. 16, 1906. He was the son of Alexander J. and Blanche Conrad Mason and married Miss Vesta Buck at Princeville at Princeville in 1927. He was a member of the First Methodist church.
Mr. Mason was also a member of the Temple lodge 46, AF&AM; Peoria consistory, Scottish Rite; the Transportation club and Peoria Players and active in Boy Scout work.
Surviving are his wife; his mother; one son, Russell A Mason, now with the Navy at Great Lakes; one daughter, Miss Gwendolyn Mason at home; three brothers, Howard A. Mason, funeral director of Metamora, Charles E. Mason of Peoria and Eldon L. Mason of Stockton, Cal., and an aunt, Miss Victoria Conrad of Metamora.
