Mr. James was a native of Cravens, LA and was currently residing in Ragley, LA. He was a faithful employee at Farmers Rice Milling Company for over 38 years. He greatly enjoyed fishing, bowling, and squirrel hunting. He was a member of the 1966 Pitkin State Championship basketball team. Mr. James was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a true man of his word to all.
His survivors include his wife of Ragley, LA.; three sons, two daughters, 19 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Charlene Hunt James; and brother, Alfred James.
His memorial service was Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff, LA. Brother Richard Beckham officiated.
