Miss Catherine R. Anderson, an Army nurse for 17 years, died yesterday at the home of her sister, Mrs. William V. McCarthy. Miss Anderson retired from the Army Nurse Corps with the rank of Lieutenant about 10 years ago. She had been stationed at Walter Reed Hospital, Fort Leavenworth, and the US Military Academy at West Point during her 17 years of service.
The veteran nurse was a native of Syracuse. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis of Assumption Church.
Miss Anderson is survived by two sisters, two brother, 15 nieces and nephews. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
