F.E. was the son of Alfred Cyrus and Mattie Mae Hammond Healer, husband of Mary Louise Cook, father to Frank, James, Janie, Anita & Becky.
A Southern Baptist Preacher for many years, F.E. fought for his country in WWII, which left him 100% disabled. He was fiercely patriotic and raised his children to be the same way.
He loved geneology and prepared histories on his Healer, Turner, Cardwell, Elam and Hammond families as well as his wife's families.
Hard-headed, he would argue with a fence post, but he was firm in his old-fashioned beliefs. He could end an argument quickly with "it's a State Law". He would do anything for his friends and family even though he was limited physically.
