Joseph was the infant son of Clarence Sr. and Rose, brother of Clarence Jr., Raymond, William, Harvey, Harry, and Roy. His death certificate states he died from broncho pnuemonia following a bout of measles, however it is very possible that he died in a freak accidental fall, from his high chair, caused by a sibling. At the time it was covered up to avoid any prosecution of the sibling. The family lived at 2012 Wilmont Street in Philadelphia at the time. He is buried alongside his grandparents Samuel & Annie. His grave has no headstone.
