Mrs. Evans died Wednesday at 1:30 a.m., at the home of her son,Ashel John Evans, Vernal, of causes incident to age.
She was born June 27, 1883, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, to Joseph Henry and Eliza Ann Watts Gardiner. The family moved to Vernal the same year, arriving on November 9, 1883. She was one of ten children, the eldest of five daughters.
She married John Almond Evans, August 15, 1906, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mrs. Evans is survived by a son Ashel John Evans, Vernal; three grandchildren; three sisters, (Joseph) Myrtle Mary Collier; (LaVell) Ivy Lena Manwaring, both of Vernal; and (Herman) Flossie Grace Hoersch, Bridger, Montana.
Friends may call at the Vernal Mortuary, Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday morning prior to services.
