Shirley May Arntz, aged 46, of Greenville, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, July 28, 2003 at her home. The daughter of William and Betty Jean (Benedict) Arntz, she was born on June 4, 1957 in Greenville. A 1975 graduate of Greenville High School, Shirley worked as a bus driver for Greenville Public Schools, and in the summers for the Belding Dial-A-Ride system. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and gardening. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Arntz in 1987. Surviving are her mother, Betty Arntz of Gowen; her life partner and companion, Cindy Teegardin of Greenville; Cindy's son, Luke and Rebecca Teegardin of Vestaburg; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Nancy Arntz of Greenville; a sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and Keith Rausch of Gowen; Cindy's grandchildren, Zane, Mark and Gabrielle Teegardin; four nieces and nephews, Julie Roach, Andy Roach, Courtney Rausch, and Willy Burns; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 31, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church, Greenville, with the Rev. Dr. Harry R. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville. Envelopes for memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church are available at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, where the family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
