Mrs. Fowler was born November 21, 1921 in Marlin, Texas and passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 in her home in Channelview, Texas.
She was housewife all her life and a member of the Friendship Harbor Church. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Arthur Singletary and Mary (Wallace) Singletary; sons: Elmer Lloyd "Chick" Cockrell and Tony Chavers; brothers: Leroy Singletary, Ray Singletary, and Joe Singletary.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Luther and Kathleen Cockrell of Woodlake, Texas, Steve Chavers of Corrigan, Texas, DeWayne and Ashley Chavers of Moscow, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law: Elandor "Ellie" and Jerry Maxey of Corrigan, Texas, Elaine Carr of Bryan, Texas, Janise and Ronald Carr of Channelview, Texas; brother and sister-in-law: Billy and Martha Singletary of Corrigan, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Services for Ina Louise Fowler, 89, of Channelview, will be held at 2 p.m. in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel in Corrigan. Burial will follow in Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
