I found a article abt this John Hollman in "The Nebraska History and Record of Pioneer Days",it stated someone wrote in to the historical society of Nebraska telling them of the grave's condition, the grave was becoming endangered-that was back in the 1910-1920 era , and so they placed a marker and such to preserve it, but in this article it stated the death year as 1853, also states he was buried along the Oregon Trail. Hoping to find a family for him to cling to.

The grave is located on private property, but is open to the public. To reach it, drive south on Highway 27 from Oshkosh, Nebraska. Cross the North Platte River bridge, then turn right onto a graveled county road. Drive 1/10 mile west and the Hollman grave is to your right (north) atop a knoll.
