Mrs. Alex (Audrey) Balwinski, 60, of 2008 Westwood Road, Marquette, died early this morning in St. Luke's Hospital where she had been a patient since Feb. 1. She had been in ill health for two and one-half years.

Born Sept. 9, 1913, in Appleton, Wis., Mrs. Balwinski was a member of St. Peter's Cathedral, its altar society and the Third Order of St. Francis.

Surviving are the husband Alex; a daughter, Mrs. Ruben T. (Mary) Roberts of Biloxi, Miss.; two sons, Peter at home and Richard of Marquette; a brother, Lloyd Whydotski of Menomonie, Wis., and four grandchildren.

Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Cathedral with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Nolan B. McKevitt officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Friends may begin calling at the Fassbender Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Friday. Parish liturgical services will be conducted there at 8 p.m. Friday.

Audrey Whydotski Balwinski died due to a lengthly illness (two and one-half years) with leukemia. She lived each and every day to the utmost a person could ever do. She had a servant's heart and was always thinking about what she could do to bless others. She married Alexander Vincent Balwinski. During her marriage to him she conceived several times, but was only able to give birth to one son, Peter Anthony Balwinski. She was a wonderful step-mother. Her step-children were Mary Ann Theresa Genevieve Balwinski and Richard James Balwinski, children by Alex's first wife.
