She was born in Cleveland County, to the late John Devaney "J.D." and Edith Randall Sheppard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the late James E. "Johnny" Caveny, brothers, Donald Sheppard, Charles E. Sheppard and sister, Carolyn Roberts. In her healthy years, she was an active member of First Baptist Church, Grover.
She attended Winthrop College, Rock Hill, SC and was retired from the textile industry.
She is survived by her brothers, Harrill Sheppard and wife, Letha, Blacksburg, S.C. and Randy Sheppard and wife, Charlene, Kings Mountain.
Graveside Service: 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Blacksburg, S.C.
Burial: Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Blacksburg, S.C.
